We are one of only four service centres in the UK authorised by Naim to repair and service their products.

To maintain optimum sonic performance it is recommended that naim equipment is serviced every 8-10 years for power amps and power supplies, 10-12 years for pre-amps. Below is a rough guide to actual costs assuming goods are in working order. All units are kept to original specification and only original factory parts are used.

If booked in advance, most units can be serviced whilst you wait.

When is a cd not a cd ?

When it is "copy protected" You may have read in the press about major record companies releasing cd's with copy protection systems that means the discs will refuse to play properly on some players. Well it's true. crazy but true. These cd's which incidentally fall outside the "Red Book" cd specification laid down by Sony and Philips will occasionally misbehave on Naim and many other cd players. However we can offer a fix. Thanks to being one of the few independent cd manufacturers to write it's own cd control software Naim can offer a player software update for CDS2, CDX2, CDS, CD5 and CD3.5 that will cure the problem. So if you are afflicted with a copy protected cd that you just cannot live without call us now on 0114-2726466 to arrange a solution. Cost is £35.00 and work can be carried out whilst you wait if you call in advance to arrange an appointment.

CD's skipping during play ?

First thing to check is the state of the puck. The rubber contacts do wear with age and allow the cd to be clamped less tightly. It is recommended you do not leave a cd inside the player with puck in place for long periods of time as this can cause premature wear. We always have  stock of new pucks and can mail order them, please ask for costs. Only genuine Naim parts supplied.
